How Old Is The Parador?

The building that now houses The Parador was originally a double adobe farmhouse, built at the turn of the 19th-century when New Mexico was still under Spanish rule. It served as a family home for over a century and a half, undergoing its first remodel in the early 1900’s with Victorian details throughout the home. At the peak of the Rainbow Coalition’s gatherings in the surrounding areas, the space became a hippie commune in the 1960’s at which point the barn and stables were incorporated as living quarters. It wasn’t until the early 1980’s that the second story was added in Northern New Mexico Territorial style; entering into it’s new life as an inn.

How Accessible Is The Parador?

Being a 200 year old farmhouse, we’ve made sure that everyone can enjoy the experience. Room 7 is designed as a fully accessible unit.
